Crevier Classic Car Museum
Thanks to the planning by Dale and Marcy Becker the August Fun Run was a great success. Everyone really enjoyed meeting at the Crevier
Classic Car Museum in Costa Mesa. It was a great place for all of us to gather, talk about cars and view the collection.
Next we took a short scenic drive through Costa Mesa that ended at "We Olive" for a wine & olive tasting. Owner, Phil Brooks, was a
gracious host and provided sample tastes for some very nice wines. We had our choice of 7 wines from a list of 30. However, the enthusiasm
of the group was such that I don't think our host was counting the number to tastes very closely. There were also a variety of flavored
olive oils to sample. The club provided a variety of cheese and olive plates to munch on during the tasting.
Chuck Jones Art Gallery
After our wine tasting, we wondered over to the "Chuck Jones" art gallery (the creator of Buggs Bunny among other characters). The
gallery art is very entertaining and amusing. Also on display for us was Chuck Jones class Mercedes.
To end the afternoon, reservations were made at Finbar's restaurant for a no host dinner. Finbar's is a nice family run Italian
restaurant in Triangle Square. They set aside an area of individual tables on their patio so we could have a leisurely dinner together.
