part 4

The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center is the place to go for restoration, maintenance, or to buy a classic Mercedes-Benz.

What makes the Classic Center special?
There are only two places in the world where you can buy a classic Mercedes-Benz directly from Mercedes-Benz:

  • The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Fellbach, Germany.
  • The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Irvine, California.
The Irvine facility has the finest expertise in classic Mercedes-Benz restoration and repair services in the United States. In addition to their factory-trained craftsmen, the Classic Center has direct access to the Mercedes-Benz Archives in Stuttgart, Germany. This gives them access to the Mercedes-Benz build sheets, as well as other factory archive data. The Mercedes-Benz Archives house over 30,000 linear feet of shelves. These shelves contain more than 110 years of company history. Much of this information is only available through the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center. Access to records such as these, allows the Classic Center to restore a Mercedes-Benz to an "as new" state without any doubt as to correctness.

Aside from knowing "how" a Mercedes-Benz was equipped and having the factory-trained craftsmen to perform the work, the Classic Center has the factory parts to properly restore a vehicle. The Irvine facility stocks over 40,000 spare parts. If a part is not in stock, and it isn't available in the United States, the Classic Center can order it from Germany. If a part isn't available worldwide, the specifications in the factory archives will typically have enough information for the Classic Center to have the part built from scratch.

When it comes to classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the good folks at the Classic Center are truly subject matter experts.

Now that you know where we went, here are a few photos of what we saw -

For those who couldn't attend, we're sorry you weren't there. For those who did attend, thanks for coming out. You, Mercedes-Benz owners, are what make events like this special. Without you keeping these beautiful cars in such great condition, there would be nothing for the rest of us to see. Thank you, and we hope to see you at one of the other outings.

Also, a special thanks to the Mercedes-Benz Learning & Performance Center West, the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center, and Nadine Schwartz.
